Description

I love everything about this print!

The pink is vibrant and lively and the fronds of foliage turned out well. There were patches on my printing plate from old prints, and these have been picked up on the paper. Such beautiful imperfections!

I use a gel plate for printing. This is a soft, squidgy plate which I roll ink or paint onto before using found objects, my own handcut stencils, and various other objects to add shapes or textures. Prints are usually built up in layers, with the lightest first, and some of my prints can have 7 to 10 layers. Printmakers call this process monoprinting – because there is only ever one.

This print is made using a high quality inkjet printer using top quality ink onto white card. This makes them easy for me to produce and affordable for you. If you would like an art quality print, or to commission an original, please contact me.

Unless otherwise stated, my A4 prints are signed and come with a white mount and backing board. You just need a 12″ x 16″ frame to complete it.

It looks like I've been boring and lazy but I prefer to think of it as patient and considering.

I planted bulbs last Autumn, and they are started to pop up in places now, as are the roses I struggled to put in. I'm not sure they will take and maybe they would be better in pots, but I'll give it a go. Hopefully I'll be rewarded at some point.
